Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers about diesel injector repair, testing, warranties and how our nationwide courier service works.
Where is NKD Injectors located?
Our workshop is at 360 Van Der Hoff Rd, Hermanstad, Pretoria, 0082 — we recently moved here from our old premises in Wonderboom South. Local customers can drop injectors off; everyone else uses our courier service — we work with customers across all of South Africa.
How does the nationwide courier service work?
Message us on WhatsApp first with your vehicle details and symptoms. Then courier your injectors to our Pretoria workshop. We bench-test them, send you a quote together with the test results, and once you approve, we do the work and courier everything back to you with a tracking number.
Is delivery really free?
Yes — delivery is free anywhere in South Africa, and every shipment comes with a tracking number.
Do I get proof that my injectors were actually fixed?
Yes — every job comes with a test report. Injectors are tested on our bench before and after the work, so you can see the measured results, not just take our word for it.
What warranty do reconditioned injectors carry?
Reconditioned injectors come with a 6-month warranty, and new washers are included with every reconditioned injector.
Can my injector be repaired?
Testing comes first. NKD uses the measured condition of each supported injector to determine whether it is serviceable and to quote the appropriate repair. If repair is not viable, NKD can check a replacement option.
Which injectors can the Bosch EPS 205 test?
NKD uses its Bosch EPS 205 for automatic testing at pressures up to 1,800 bar. Supported categories include Bosch solenoid CRI and CRIN, other solenoid common-rail injectors subject to part-number confirmation, and conventional DHK/UI nozzle-holder assemblies. Send the injector number or a clear photo before couriering it.
Can NKD test Bosch piezo injectors?
No. NKD does not test or repair Bosch piezo injectors. For Denso, Siemens or Continental piezo injectors, send the part number first so NKD can confirm capability for the exact unit.
Do you sell injectors, or only repair them?
Both, but testing and repair come first. NKD reconditions supported serviceable injectors and can source new, reconditioned or service-exchange options where those options are confirmed. Price and availability are always checked on request.
What symptoms suggest my injectors need attention?
Common signs are loss of power, black smoke, hard starting, rough idling and misfires. Those symptoms can have other causes too, which is why we test before quoting — the test report shows exactly which injectors are out of spec.
Do you work with workshops and fleet operators?
Yes — workshops and fleets around South Africa send us injectors for testing, reconditioning and calibration. The before-and-after test reports give you documentation you can keep on file or show your own customers.
How do I identify the correct replacement injector?
Send the make, model, year and engine together with the injector part number or a clear photo. Vehicle name alone does not prove fitment, so NKD confirms the injector details before quoting a replacement.
